Appearance

Wayd lets you personalize the look and feel of the application. Your primary color and density are saved to your account and follow you across devices. Your theme and mode are remembered by the browser you chose them in.

Opening the Theme Manager

Click your avatar in the top-right corner and select Theme from the dropdown. The Theme Manager drawer opens on the right side of the screen.

Theme

A theme is the overall visual identity of the application — its shapes, spacing, and styling personality:

ThemeDescription
WaydThe default look. Clean and professional, with Light, Mist, Slate, and Dark modes.
CartoonPlayful rounded UI with illustrated background and warm tones.
GeekHigh-contrast neon-on-dark style.
IllustrationHand-drawn inspired style with bold outlines and pastel accents.
ShadcnNeutral, minimal style inspired by shadcn design tokens.

The Glass theme is retired: it is listed only while it is your current theme, so you can switch away from it.

Switching theme clears your primary color choice, since each theme has its own default. Your density is kept.

Mode

When the selected theme supports more than one mode, a Mode control lets you pick its color scheme. The Wayd theme offers:

ModeDescription
LightBright background, dark text. Best for well-lit environments.
MistA light mode with the glare taken off: pale grey-blue surfaces instead of white.
SlateCool blue-grey background. A comfortable middle ground between light and dark — great for screen sharing and projectors.
DarkDark background, light text. Best for low-light environments.

Themes with a single built-in appearance (every theme except Wayd) don't show the Mode control.

Primary Color

Select an accent color from the preset palette. This color is used for buttons, links, active states, and — in the Wayd theme's Light, Mist and Slate modes — the top navigation bar.

The available colors are drawn from Ant Design's standard palette. When a theme's own default color is not one of them, it is offered first as Theme Default.

Some themes are intentionally style-locked and do not expose primary color customization — Cartoon, Geek and Illustration. In those themes, the primary color section is hidden.

Density

Controls the spacing and size of UI elements:

OptionDescription
DefaultStandard spacing — recommended for most users.
CompactReduced spacing — useful on smaller screens or when you want more content visible at once.

Resetting

Click Reset to Defaults to clear all customizations and return to the selected theme's default primary color and default density. Your current theme and mode selection is preserved.
