Projects Dashboard
The Projects Dashboard (PPM > Projects Dashboard) shows a set of projects and leads with what needs attention. It replaces the earlier My Projects dashboard; the old address forwards here.
Scope
The scope decides which projects the page shows:
- Me — projects where your linked employee holds a role. This is the default, and it is missing when your account has no employee record.
- Person — projects for any employee, chosen from the picker. Use it to see what someone you lead is carrying.
- Portfolio — every project in one portfolio.
- Program — every project in one program.
- All projects — everything you can see.
The scope is kept in the address bar, so a view can be shared as a link.
In the two person scopes, the Role chips narrow the list to the roles the person holds (Sponsor, Owner, PM, Member, Task Assignee; all by default). The Status chips narrow by project status in every scope (Approved and Active by default). Reset restores the defaults and Refresh reloads.
Attention tiles
The row of tiles under the scope bar is a triage summary of the projects in scope. Click a tile to keep only those projects in the list below; click it again to clear.
| Tile | Counts |
|---|---|
| In scope | Every project matching the scope and filters |
| Unhealthy | Projects whose current health check is Unhealthy |
| At risk | Projects whose current health check is At Risk |
| Overdue tasks | Open tasks past their planned end, with how many projects they sit on |
| No health check | Open projects with no current health check, whether never reported or expired |
| Ending in 30 days | Open projects whose planned end falls within the next 30 days |
Task counts depend on the scope. For a person, they follow the same visibility rule as the project plan: on a project where the person holds a leadership role (Sponsor, Owner or PM) every task counts, otherwise only the tasks assigned to them. For a portfolio, program or all projects, every task on the plan counts.
Breakdowns
In the portfolio, program and all-projects scopes, a collapsible Breakdowns panel shows the projects in scope by status, by health and by strategic theme, the same charts as the portfolio and program overviews. It stays closed until you open it, and remembers the choice.
The list, cards and timeline
Projects are grouped by Portfolio, Program, Health or Status. Each group header shows its count and a one-line summary (unhealthy, at risk, overdue tasks), and collapses on click. The search box matches the project name or key. The switch at the right of the toolbar shows the same groups as a List, as Cards, or on a Timeline.
The list is a standard grid: sort by clicking a column header (worst health first, then most overdue tasks, by default), filter a column, choose and reorder columns, and export the rows to CSV. The grouped column becomes the headings and leaves the rows. Cards and the timeline take their order from the Sort choice instead: Health then overdue, Name, End date or Score.
Each project shows:
- Current health, with the health check details on hover
- Key, name, and the portfolio and program underneath
- Status
- Stages — every lifecycle stage as a step: completed, in progress, or not started. Several stages can be in progress at once; hover a step for its status and progress.
- Open task counts: overdue and due this week, or the upcoming count when nothing is more urgent
- Sponsors, Owners and PMs as avatars
- Planned end date, highlighted when it falls within the next 30 days
- On a card, the current score when the project has been scored
- In a person scope, that person's roles on the project
Click a project to open its details in a drawer, with links to the full project page and its plan. The plan icon on a row or card opens the project's Plan section directly, with one click.
Timeline
The timeline draws one row per project under a heading per group. The row label carries the project's health flag. The project's own bar runs from its start to its end, and each stage with planned dates is drawn on its own dates underneath; both are coloured by status the way the portfolio timeline colours its projects, and stages that overlap sit in separate lanes so both stay visible. A stage without dates is left out, and a project with no dates at all keeps an empty row; the legend under the chart says how many. Hover a bar for its dates and status, click one to open the project, and zoom with Ctrl and the mouse wheel or the toolbar.
