Logging In

Wayd supports two interactive authentication methods: signing in through your organization's identity provider, and signing in with an email and password. Your administrator will tell you which one to use. When your organization has an identity provider set up, the sign-in page shows two tabs, Sign in and Email & Password; otherwise it shows only the email and password form.

Organizational Account

If your organization signs in through an identity provider such as Microsoft Entra ID:

  1. Navigate to your Wayd instance URL
  2. On the Sign in tab, click the button for your organization's provider (for Microsoft Entra ID, the button carries the Microsoft logo)
  3. Enter your organizational credentials
  4. You'll be redirected to Wayd after successful authentication

Email & Password

If your instance uses local authentication:

  1. Navigate to your Wayd instance URL
  2. Select Email & Password, if the tab is shown
  3. Enter your Email and Password
  4. Leave Remember me checked to stay signed in after you close the browser, or clear it to be signed out when the browser closes
  5. Click Sign in

If this is your first login, you may be prompted to change your password before continuing.

API Access with Personal Access Tokens

For scripts, automations, and integrations that need to access the Wayd API without interactive login, you can use a Personal Access Token (PAT).

PATs are created from your Profile page and included in API request headers. See Your Profile > Personal Access Tokens for details on creating tokens, and the API Reference for how to use them.

Troubleshooting

  • Account locked? — After five failed sign-in attempts in a row, an email and password account is locked for 15 minutes. Wait and try again, or ask your administrator to unlock it.
  • Forgot password? — Contact your administrator for a password reset (local authentication only). You'll be required to set a new password on next login.
  • Can't access? — Verify you have an active account with your administrator.
  • Must change password? — Local users created by an administrator are required to set a new password on first login. Wayd shows the Change Password form before anything else; after you change it you are signed out, and you sign in again with the new password. Sign Out leaves without changing it.
